Mother's Day
With Mother’s Day approaching, I thought I would reflect on what I feel it means to be a mother. Part of this I have learned on my own from my three children and the other part is based on the love my mother showed me as a child and still now.
There are many women in our life that deserve recognition on Mother’s Day. They say, “it takes a village to raise a child” and truer words have never been spoken. Whether it be a grandmother, Auntie, family friend, teacher, mother-in-law etc. they all deserve to be recognized and shown appreciation for all they do for you.
Being a mother is the best, most important job in the world. This Mother’s Day, please acknowledge the women in your life that helped mold you and shape you into the person you are today and if you so feel inclined to treat them, come on down to Pinot’s Palette and make her a painting, buy her a gift certificate, or set up a painting class to take together. She deserves it.
“Making the decision to have a child – it is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” -Elizabeth Stone
